Privacy Policy

Last updated September 24, 2026

FitVector is built so your fitness data stays yours. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't use tracking or analytics SDKs.

Data that stays on your iPhone

Your profile (age, height, weight, goals, diet), workouts, lifts, food log, water, body measurements, military PT test scores, reflections and progress photos are stored on your device. We can't see them.

Apple Health

If you connect Apple Health, FitVector reads data such as weight, height, age, sex, steps, active energy, resting heart rate and sleep, and can write your weigh-ins, workouts, nutrition and water. Health data is used only to provide features inside the app. It is never sent to our server, never shared with third parties, and never used for advertising or marketing. You can change access anytime in Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.

iCloud backup

If you use iCloud backup, a copy of your data and photos is saved to your own private iCloud Drive, governed by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to it.

Optional account (Sign in with Apple)

An account is optional and enables friend leaderboards and the cloud AI coach. If you sign in, our server stores:

We don't receive your email address unless you choose to share it, and we don't store your workouts, food log or health data on the server.

AI coach

On iPhones that support Apple Intelligence, the coach runs entirely on your device. Otherwise, if you're signed in, your coach messages and a short summary of your goals and recent training are sent to our server and processed by Anthropic's Claude API to generate a reply. We don't store the conversation. Anthropic processes this data as our service provider and does not use it to train its models.

Food and exercise lookups

When you search foods or scan a barcode, the search term or barcode is sent to the USDA FoodData Central or Open Food Facts databases (sometimes through our server). Exercise and research information comes from wger and PubMed. No personal information is included in these requests.

Camera and photos

The camera is used only to scan food barcodes and take progress photos you choose to save. Photos stay on your device (and in your iCloud backup, if enabled).

Subscriptions

Purchases are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.

Deleting your data

Children

FitVector is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
